Terms of Service

• You must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent where you live, whichever is higher) to use FeedBack.
• You must be at least 18 to receive a cash bounty payout.
• You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

• A business must be verified before it can post. It can verify by confirming an email address at its website’s domain, or by asking FeedBack to review it by hand. We decide manual reviews at our discretion.
• The verified badge means we confirmed control of a domain or reviewed the business. It isn’t an endorsement of the business or its products.
• If you open a business account, you confirm you’re authorized to act for that business.

You own the content you post. By posting, you grant FeedBack a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute it within the service so it can function (for example, showing your idea on a business’s post), and to make machine translations of it for people using FeedBack in another language. You’re responsible for what you post and must have the right to post it.

Don’t post unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or spam content; don’t impersonate others; don’t create accounts or activity to game votes, polls, points, or bounties; don’t attempt to break, overload, or abuse the service.

• Businesses may offer a perk (fulfilled by the business, such as a discount) or a cash bounty for an idea they choose to implement. Posts may also award points.
• Perks are an agreement between the business and the winner. FeedBack issues the award certificate but isn’t responsible for a business honoring a perk.
• Points are earned with a specific business and can only be redeemed for that business’s rewards. They have no cash value and can’t be transferred or exchanged.
• Awarding an idea is at the business’s discretion. FeedBack does not guarantee that any idea will be approved or rewarded.

• Funding. A business funds a cash bounty in advance by card through Stripe. The business pays the bounty amount plus a platform fee and card processing costs, all shown at checkout. The winner receives the full bounty amount.
• Holding. The money is held until the business approves a winning idea. Each cash bounty has one winner.
• Refunds. If the business doesn’t approve an idea within 5 business days (Monday to Friday; holidays aren’t skipped) of funding, the full amount it paid is automatically refunded to its card. A funded post can’t be deleted until its bounty is settled.
• Getting paid. To receive a payout, the winner must set up a payout account with Stripe and complete Stripe’s identity and bank checks. Until then, the money waits for them. Stripe’s own terms apply to that account.
• Disputes. If a business’s card payment is disputed or charged back, we freeze the bounty: nothing more is paid out or refunded until it’s resolved, and a payout already sent to the winner may be reversed.
• Payouts aren’t sent to an account that has been banned.
• You’re responsible for any taxes on rewards you receive.

We review reports and may remove content, or ban accounts, to keep the community safe. A banned account can’t sign in, and its posts, ideas, replies, and profile are hidden from others. Decisions are made at our discretion.

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that ideas, translations, or bounties will meet your expectations. Machine translations may contain mistakes; the original text is what counts.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FeedBack is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for amounts exceeding what you paid us (if anything) in the prior 12 months.

You may close your account at any time from Settings, except while money is still moving: a person waiting on a cash payout, or a business with a funded bounty that hasn’t been settled, must wait until it is. Closing your account anonymizes it; the Privacy Policy explains what’s removed and what stays.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Some provisions survive termination, including content licenses needed to keep records intact and the sections on liability.

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll try to let you know by email or in the app. Questions? Email hello@feedbackapp.app.
